Cheerful Giving

”But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver.” -2 Corinthians 9: 6-7

These are two of my favorite verses because it talks about giving cheerfully, without expecting something in return. If we are lead to give a donation to a church or to a missionary, we should give it without expecting to get something out of it. This also includes helping someone, because it is still giving them our time. If we are helping our siblings or parents by cleaning the kitchen for them or asking them to do something with us, we should do it without complaining and conditions.

”Be hospitable to one another without grumbling.”-1 Peter 4:9

We need to do our best to give cheerfully, whatever it may be. That doesn’t mean that we have to give everything we own to someone, we also need to use discernment because you might not know if someone could be tricking you into giving something to them when God told you not to. There needs to be a balance. But even when you give cheerfully, the Lord will still bless you.

I hope I was able to encourage all of you with something today. Goodbye darlings!

Tolkien Reading Day

Happy Tolkien Reading Day, everyone! Here’s a couple of cool links I wanted to share with y’all in honor of today’s event.

Middle-earth March Madness: Round 2

Today in Middle-earth, March 25th

I’ll be reading a bit of The Silmarillion! Which Tolkien work are you reading? ❤

Pen-pal/Blogger Meet-Up!

So on February 22nd, my sister and I met up with Beth from This Redeemed Girl and her sister Ray! Beth and I have been pen-pals for a few months now, and she’s great! They drove quite a bit to meet up with us and we all spent some time at the mall. It was really fun! We went to Claire’s first and Beth and I got some earrings and friendship necklaces. I got more earrings, but here’s a pic of the one’s she got me and my half of the necklaces; aren’t they adorable?!

Then we went to other stores like H&M, Forever 21, Rue 21,  etc. I actually got a few great deals at Rue 21! Here’s some things I got from there:

I had such a great time meeting them; hopefully we’ll get to do it again in the near future! ❤

Makeup Review: Ipsy February Glam Bag

Hey darlings! Today I will be reviewing Ipsy’s February Glam Bag: Pretty in #IpsyPink. If you don’t know what Ipsy is, it’s a company that sends you a “Glam (makeup) Bag” filled with 5 makeup products for just $10 a month. I’ve been getting it since November 2015, and I love it! They always give out cute bags and great products for me to try every month! I haven’t received the March Glam Bag yet, so I’ll be reviewing last month’s bag.

Glam Bag

This is the bag that came with all the goodies in it! Super cute! And all of their glam bags have a little zipper that says “Ipsy” on it.

tre’StiQue: Baby Blush Stick in Bora Bora Coral

I haven’t gotten around to using this one yet, but it looks great! I used another one of tre’StiQue’s products, and I loved it!

VINTAGE by Jessica Liebeskind: Sparkling Lipgloss in Pink Sequin

This one came out more sheer than I thought and the consistency of the gloss was really sticky.

Ciate London (Olivia Palermo x Ciate London Paint Pot): Sundays- my off duty nude

The color is a little too light for me, but it looked really pretty!

IT Cosmetics (Bye Bye Under Eye Anti-Aging Concealer): Neutral Medium

I had some redness under my eyes, and this concealed it perfectly. Just the right shade, too!

Skinfix: Ultra Rich Body Butter

Really rich and smooth. Loved it!

So overall, I’d give this bag 7 out of 10 stars. The stuff they give is really great (and at a decent price) and I can’t wait to get the next bag! Hope y’all enjoyed the review. Later! ❤

I cannot even begin to tell you how much I adore music! I mean, who doesn’t? But what I CAN tell you, is some of the music that I like. So, the following is a list of music that I highly recommend that you go and listen to! (And you can probably just look these up on YouTube or something like that.)

Elevation (Album) by Really Slow MotionThis whole album is like, the BEST! No joke!

Tree of Life (Album) by AudiomachineI’ve been listening to audiomachine for quite a while now, and they are my FAVORITE! If you’ve never listened to their stuff before (which, if you’ve watched any movie trailers, I’m sure you’ve heard their music, just unknowingly), than this is the best album to start listening to.

All Lord of the Rings/Hobbit Soundtracks by Howard Shore: Seriously, even if you haven’t watched the movies, just listen to them!

Winterspell (Song) by Two Steps from HellIf you like The Pirates of the Caribbean, you’ll like this song.

Spirit Soundtrack by Hans Zimmer/Bryan AdamsHans Zimmer+Bryan Adams=EPIC

Moving On (Song) by Michael Giacchino: TEARS T_T

My Last Year (Song) by Tom DaySimple, but cool!

Well, that’s all! Let me know if you listen to any of the music and what your thoughts are on it. Later, darlings! ❤

Things To Do With Your Friends

Have you been wanting to do something with a group of friends, but have just run out of ideas? Have no fear! Here is a list to give your brain a kick start of some fun activities to do with your friends!

1. Host an exchange (book, treat, gift card, jewelry, etc.)

I have actually already done a book exchange at my house in January! It was so fun! We also had a little raffle where we gave away a book set, 2 bookmarks, and a 2016 calendar. In fact, here’s a pic of us with the books we got! (Sorry for the bad quality! And yes, the faces are blurred out.)V__BF1A (2)

2. Board Game/Card Game Night (or whatever time of day)

Gather all your board/card games together (or have everyone bring one of theirs), and play! Whether it’s Monopoly, ERS, Life, Uno, or any other game, I can guarantee you’ll have a blast! 😉  If you’re the host, you can also provide refreshments.

3. Play outside

Now, I know it sounds sorta childish, but hey! If you have enough land, and the weather’s good, don’t be afraid to call up your friends to hang out in the great outdoors! Depending on how much room you have, you guys can play Four Square (which I am currently obsessed with!), baseball, kickball, jump roping/double-dutch, red-light green-light, tag, basketball, Simon Says, and all sorts of other fun games that we tend to forget to play as we get older. (It’s especially fun to watch teenagers play those kiddie games!)

4. Go shopping

That is, if you and your friends have some money to spare! 😛

5. Coloring/Drawing Contest

If you’re an artist, gather all your artistic friends and have a contest. Since adult coloring books are all the hype right now, I’m sure you can find some pretty cool coloring pages to do! And since the judge(s) will probably be related to some of you, make sure they don’t see who did which artwork, and don’t let anyone sign their name on the picture.

6. Truth or Dare

If you want to know what everyone is going to ask, get a printable Truth or Dare like this one (click me!), and just separate them into jars to have everyone pass around.

7. Movie Night/Marathon

Get some good movies together (make sure everyone is allowed to watch it), and have a vote for which on to watch. Or if you want to have a marathon, pick a movie series (*cough*Lord of the Rings*cough*cough*)!

8. Go bowling or roller skating

Of course this one (most likely) requires money, but hey, it’s super fun! (I actually went bowling with some friends, today!)

9. Bake & decorate some cookies

I loved doing this one! You can also use any kind of treat; not just cookies!

10. Make Arts n’ Crafts/Bracelets

Friendship bracelets are a true classic! If you want to spice up their stay (if they’re at your house), then check out this link for some cool crafts: (click me!)

That’s it for now, darlings! Hope y’all have a great day! ❤

Desserts (Part 2)

🍰Strawberry chocolate pie🍰

No-Bake Strawberry Chocolate Ganache Pie makes an easy showstopping dessert perfect for summer barbecues and gatherings.

Ingredients:  graham cracker crust (made from your own or bought), 8 oz. chopped chocolate, 1 cup heavy cream, 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract, 1 1/2 lbs. fresh strawberries hulled and thinly sliced, 1/3 cup strawberry preserves or your favorite jam, powdered sugar for dusting (optional).

Directions: Place chopped chocolate in heat proof bowl. Heat heavy cream in small saucepan over medium heat until it just starts to simmer. Pour cream over chocolate and let it sit for a minute. Stir chocolate until completely smooth. Add vanilla extract. Pour into chilled pie crust and set in fridge until completely firm. An hour or two before serving, arrange strawberries on top of pie. Heat strawberry preserves or jam in microwave and glaze on top. Set in the fridge. Dust on powdered sugar before serving, if desired.
