Goals for 2016-Darling Jae

Yes, I too have a list of things I would love to accomplish this year. Of course, people rarely ever complete their whole list. So this year, I tried to put down more realistic goals. Without further ado, here is my list!

  1. Get fit
  2. Fill up an entire journal (I recently got into journaling this past month, and I really enjoy it! So hopefully I’ll finish at least one this year! *Hint* I may do a post on journaling soon*Hint*Hint*)
  3. Let my hair grow out
  4. Get my license
  5. Become a Senior
  6. Read at least 85 books
  7. Fill up my $5 bill jar (It’s where you put every $5 bill you get this year into a jar, and at the end of the year, BAM, YOU’RE RICH! Well hopefully)
  8. Improve my art skills
  9. Start the Senior-Photo-A-Week challenge
  10. Attend a formal
  11. Be more POSITIVE
  12. Write more
  13. Drink only water for at least a month straight (Which I am actually going to start on February)
  14. Start a blog (Woohoo! Already one completed! I wrote this list a few days ago.)
  15. Improve at the piano
  16. Get a job/ Do a home business

And to end this post, I will share with you all my very first poem that I thought of today. Writing this poem actually made me think of the scripture that says,”Even in laughter the heart may sorrow…” (Prov. 14:13).

WARNING: I am not a poet!

The whistling wind and the seeing eye, why do you cry?

What troubled news do you carry? Even on sunny days.

Well, that’s all darlings! What’s on YOUR list for 2016 goals? ❤

First Post

Welcome darling readers! Today, I was thinking about what to write for my first blog post and how I should go about doing it. So, I did a little research and realized that I should probably avoid the cliché “First Blog Post” that seems to be used quite often.

Where people introduce themselves, say why they started the blog, and tell what they want to blog about. While that’s all fine and dandy, what usually ends up following is a while of inactivity after due to the loss of inspiration for the writer, and loss of interest for the reader. I mean as a fellow reader myself, that can tend to get a bit old.

So, instead of doing all that, I’ll just let you know real quick that this blog will be a little mix of everything. I’ll let us discover more about each other along the journey, so it can bring that air of mystery that can add just a bit more of creativity to this blog (I hope!).

Well, until then darlings! ❤
